Because of the recent form of crazy on Twitter (yes, Elon Musk, we’re looking at you), #BlerdDating is currently NOT planning on continuing. We had a GREAT run, so much fun, cried a little, laughed a lot, learned a ton and love everyone who showed up and out–especially the regulars. You will ALWAYS be family. 450 million views. #BlerdDating is the world’s first Twitter comedy storytelling chat. Yes, *those* Twitter-stories. And because they’re from a Blerd (Black nerd) POV, they’re smart and funny and weird. Most of them are about dating/relationship issues. And some, about life. Some are deeply personal. We call ’em “confessions” cause, well…

Many of our storytellers have had tv deals, are film directors, comedians, journalists, cosplayers and novelists.

And some are just people with a compelling story to tell.

Add our guest line-up and it’s like the coolest storytelling podcast you’ve ever heard. That you also get to be a part of. Interacting with everyone. Celebs included. We interview some of the dopest directors, screenwriters, comedians, novelists, actors, activists and brainiacs working today about their work and beyond.

People like Reggie Hudlin, Lena Waithe, Gina Prince Blythewood, Sheila E., Janelle James, Michelle Buteau, Tarana Burke, Boots Riley, Beverly Johnson, and the list goes on, have been on the show.

And yes, we’re totally inclusive so everyone’s invited.

Since launching in January 2017, we’ve garnered over 450 million Twitter impressions, have an average episode reach of 350,000 and trend regularly. When we first started five years ago, we were a weekly, then a monthly experience. Now, we pop up from time to time.

Created, produced and co-moderated by Leesa Dean and inspired, in part, by The Moth,  MST3K, her compulsive need to write stories and her crappy dating life.
